Privacy policy for the website solva.fm

This policy covers the website solva.fm and the waitlist. The Solva app has its own privacy policy, which you'll find inside the app.

In short

We use no cookies, no tracking and no ads. Fonts, images, videos and audio samples are served from our own server. We only process personal data to deliver this site and, if you choose to, to run the waitlist or answer your message.

Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you visit, Vercel processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the site and protect it from abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest in secure operation). Vercel keeps these logs for no longer than 30 days. We have a data processing agreement with Vercel; transfers to the US rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or a certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Waitlist

When you save a spot, we process your email address, the language you chose and the time you confirmed. We use this to invite you to Solva and tell you about the launch. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

We use double opt-in: you first get an email with a confirmation link that is valid for 48 hours. Only when you click it do we add your address to the waitlist. If you don't confirm, you're not added and won't get another email. We send at most one confirmation email per address per day.

We send these emails and keep the list with the email service Resend (Resend, Inc., USA), acting as our processor. Emails go out through Resend's servers in the EU (Ireland). Independently of that, Resend stores sending logs and email content in the US, usually for 30 days; this also applies to confirmation emails that are never confirmed. The waitlist entries are also stored with Resend. Transfers to the US rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or a certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

You can withdraw your consent at any time, through the unsubscribe link in every email we send you after you confirm, or by writing to contact@solva.fm. We then unsubscribe you. After that we only keep your email address marked as "unsubscribed" on a suppression list, so we don't write to you again and an older confirmation link can't add you back (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); you can object to this at any time. We delete the entire waitlist, including the suppression list, no later than six months after Solva's general launch.

Contact form

If you write to us through the contact form, we process your email address and message to reply (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). The message is forwarded to our inbox through Resend (see above) and not stored on the website. We delete it once it's no longer needed, at the latest after twelve months unless we're legally required to keep it.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict and port your data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Just write to contact@solva.fm.

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

For users in the United States

We do not sell or share personal information as defined by California privacy law (CCPA/CPRA), and we don't use it for advertising. The categories we collect are listed above: identifiers (email address), content you send us (messages) and technical usage data (server logs). You can ask us to disclose, correct or delete your information, and we won't treat you differently for doing so. We don't respond to Do Not Track signals, because we don't track you across websites in the first place.

Children

Solva is meant for adults. The waitlist is not intended for anyone under 18.

Changes

We update this policy when the website or the law changes. We announce material changes on this page and, if you're on the waitlist, by email before they take effect. Effective date: October 1, 2026.
